Amazing Freckle Face

The image at top is my favorite drawing from Callie Fink’s deviantART gallery. It is meticulously done with graphite on Bristol board. The eyes and fingers look photographic!

Cool Avengers Assemble

Advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy (Portland) has envisioned a print campaign for Target that essentially uses “daily objects to create art.” I.e. each poster has a sculpture of a superhero weapon that is made from various toys, soda cans, pencils and other objects from Target’s stores.

Tattooed Poster

Art directors Mathias Nosel and Steffen Baumgart envisioned a unique tattooed (calfskin) poster to promote Chaos Crew Tattoo Studio Munchen. The slogan for the campaign was “We got history under your skin,” which was illustrated with news related events from 2011. E.g. the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in April 29, 2011, the death of Amy Whinehouse in July 23, 2011, among other things.

Cool Fascinating Liquid in Motion

Using paint in water, photographer Luka Klikovac has created an art series entitled “Demersal.” Some images look like deserted islands and others look like microscopic biology samples. Basically each spectator will see something different in the photos.

Beautiful Light Graffiti Bombing

UK artist Sola has taken graffiti to a new level by fusing light painting to it. His work is not permanent like traditional tagging on walls, so it may have a better acceptance among local communities.

Mountain Subway

Two trains run on single 1.8 km track with small passing section. The cars have slanted design and platforms have many stairs.

With only 6 stations, it is one of the shortest subway systems in the world.

Carmelit underground funicular in Haifa, Israel allows people to comfortably travel up and down the Carmel mountain.

Grass Flip Flops

Created out of high quality synthetic turf, the inside of these cool flip flops looks and feels just like real grass.
Australian footwear company KUSA makes creative sandals for people who love the feeling of walking barefoot on freshly mowed grass.
